PlaceWhat it's for
Gas StationRepairs and refuels ground and air vehicles. Also refills Gas Cans.
Marine Gas StationUsually a small jetty with two pumps. Best for boats such as RHIBs and Armored Patrol Boats. Carefully parked land and air vehicles can use it too. Also refills Gas Cans.
Fire Station (red)Search for Radiation Gear and Parachutes. Expect enemies. Brick in the former North Korea, more modern in the former South Korea.
Police Station (blue)Military gear and a locked Armory. Many rooms to clear, and some have roof access.
Clinic (green)Medical loot. Other players may wait inside to ambush the wounded.
ExfilMarked by green smoke, picked from a pool of sites. Call in the Twin Heli and hold the site until it arrives. Others may ambush you there.
Ammo & Armor CacheRefill ammo and take Armor Plates. Often inside enemy compounds. Has a cooldown after use.
UAV TowerA portable comms tower that enemies usually guard. Activating it completes a Side Op, pays DMZ Cash and shows nearby players and enemies.
CompoundA fortified military position with better loot and intel, and armored vehicles such as the LTV. Going in loud brings more enemies, so a quiet approach can pay off.
Bounty StationA rugged laptop to review Bounties on players, or pay off your own.
SAM SiteA Side Op: hack the control computer and defend the site until it finishes. Afterward it shoots enemy aircraft, which is handy against Deathstalkers.
Lieutenant Hunt towerClimb it and use the laptop on top to find a nearby Lieutenant. Counts as a Side Op.
ArchitectureBuilding style can show whether an area was North or South Korean before the conflict.

The Citadel is a Y-shaped fortress inside the prison yard.

It is a dangerous maze. You will find gantries and walkways, repatriation chambers, a huge furnace and a warren of cell blocks. Deadly high value targets are in there too.

Scout the ground before you go in. Without careful reconnaissance, it is easy to get cut off, surrounded and overwhelmed.

The base is built into a huge granite hillside. A vast bunker complex hides under the hill, and it is bigger than the surface base.

The base is very dangerous and well defended. It has a full set of guards and some high value targets. Getting in is tricky from every direction, and the cliffs on the east side make it harder.

Recon found a way in from the wooded high ground to the south. You need great skill and good judgment to find a gap in the concrete wall and stay out of sight of the watchtower guards.

What's there
Two Re-Education Centers and a Clinic, with a Gas Station at either end of town
Enemies
Lightly armored troops at first, and possible convoys
Underground
A sewer system runs under the more important buildings and may connect to them

Deadtown was a farming township. It is empty now, because the people were moved away from the fighting and the military took it over. It is a fairly large settlement. Rivers of toxic water run along the northwest and east sides.

Expect street-to-street fighting. The higher value targets are most likely in the larger, more ornate buildings. At first you will meet lightly armored enemies and possibly convoys.

The town's east edge is on higher ground, next to the Hajin River. The newer buildings there include small tenement blocks and other empty block shells. Some hide military storage made to look like homes.

The older part of town has single-family houses and a main dirt road. A Gas Station stands at either end of town, and there is a Clinic. Two Re-Education buildings stand in the center. Follow the railroad northeast to reach smaller, poorer hamlets along the main river.

Terrain
Flat, little cover, long sightlines

Imjin Farmland is a low-lying floodplain on the southwest edge of the map, between North and South Korea. Rice fields, winding waterways and scattered farms lie out in the open. Narrow roads and rail lines meet at a vast industrial mill.

The ground is fairly flat. There is little cover and the sightlines are long. That suits careful movement, driving vehicles and team attacks on key strongholds.

Use cover as you approach from the outskirts. Use the warehouses to get close. Once inside, switch to close-range weapons.

Watch your exposure on the open ground and expect enemy vehicles. Reinforce a position you have taken before you push deeper into Hajin.

Threat
Village, Russian Border Crossing, Outskirts and Russian Border Low; Heavenly Luck Casino High
Where
North Hajin, former South Korea

NVGs for the casino
Roads
Expressway No. 1 runs east to west on the south side

Cheongun is the farthest north of the places South Korea once held on this map. It is an urban village on the Hajin River.

Border control splits the village. The Russian border control is on the east edge. The South Korean border control is close to the river on the west side, where the Outskirts have fewer buildings and denser woods.

The Russian Border lies north, across the river. It is full of fog and cannot be reached for now. Expressway No. 1 is Hajin's main freeway. It crosses the south side from east to west.

Homes and industrial buildings sit on low, flat land just above sea level. Before the conflict, most locals came here to gamble.

The Heavenly Luck Casino dominates Cheongun Village. It is a large complex that was once lavish. It has several floors, many gambling halls and an underground parking lot.

The halls are a maze of gambling machines. Visibility is poor because there is no mains power in many places. NVGs are a good idea.

A train station, with Expressway No. 1 along the north
Watch for
Snipers on the wooded high ground to the south (Mujin Pass) and in the Cheongun Outskirts to the west
Inside
Gutted lobby, then wards, waiting areas and an emergency room

The hospital serves all of Hajin and sits roughly in the middle. It is next to a train station. The Grid and the Hajin City mall are close, to the east. Expect snipers on the high, wooded ground to the south, called Mujin Pass, and in the Cheongun Outskirts to the west.

The grounds outside are stepped. Triage tents have been put up there, and there are temporary military barracks at the front and the back. A memorial obelisk and gardens lie to the southeast, close to a parking structure and the station.

The recent fighting has gutted the windowed, multi-level lobby. Further in, expect close-quarters fighting in the wards, the waiting and patient areas and the emergency room. The floor and stairwell signs are color-coded, which makes the huge building feel smaller.

The biggest telecom array in Hajin stands on a flat summit in the South Korean Wilderness. Huge granite boulder outcrops lie to the west, with trails weaving between them.

The gentler woods to the north lead down to Mujin Pass, close to the Hospital.

The enemy has taken over the DBN TV station array, and there are signs of recent fighting everywhere. The buildings inside are now barracks, and the air feels cramped and tense. The roof has a helipad and long views.

Haneul Nuclear Reactor

Card for the Haneul Nuclear Reactor: cooling towers in fog, a small map and three close-up shots
HighRadiation
Threat
High at the Reactor, with radiation. Medium in the South Korean Border Zone
Where
Northeast Hajin, former South Korea
Bring
Radiation protective clothing and a gas mask
Way in
Strongly discouraged. By water may be possible, or through a tunnel from Compound Delta to the southwest
Damage
Breach at the containment block and across Reactor 02. Reactor 01 holds for the moment

Radiation is severe around the whole area and strongest inside the reactor building. After recent events, a toxic cloud of radioactive vapor sits over the site. The weather shows little air movement, so the radiation should stay near the site.

Keep a gas mask on the whole time you are in the complex, together with protective gear against radiation. Without enough protection, you will probably be badly hurt or die.

Going in is strongly discouraged. Getting there by water may be possible. So may the tunnel from Compound Delta, to the southwest.

Recon shows a large breach at the containment block, spreading across Reactor 02. Reactor 01 is stable for now.

Where
Northeast Hajin City, former South Korea
Bring
NVGs for the underground mall
What's there
Han-Go Korean BBQ, police station, clinic, City Hall, monorail station, parking
Next to
The Grid, to the south

NuriGO is a mixed shopping and housing district, just north of the Hajin skyscrapers. Tenement blocks line the west edge, near the Hospital. A parkway runs along the north side, and the expressway borders the east side.

Above ground you find a Han-Go Korean BBQ, a district police station, a clinic and City Hall. There is also an elevated monorail station. The monorail runs by itself around the whole edge of Hajin City. There is plenty of parking above and below ground, and smaller shops and malls fill the rest of the area.

The main courtyard is near the old train station. It has three round structures: a pavilion and two wide light wells. One of the wells has an elevator. All three lead down into a large underground shopping area. The power is off down there, so bring NVGs.

The Grid lies to the south and is well defended.

The Grid

Card for The Grid: a view of tall glass towers, a small map and three city-street shots
Critical
Threat
The Grid, DBN Headquarters, Hanex Bank, Minsok Art School, Construction Zone Critical; Nenshin Tech Complex Extreme
Where
Central Hajin City, former South Korea
Landmarks
Donpyeong Gate, Hanex Bank tower, DBN TV tower, Hotel Lucera, Year of the Fire Horse statue
Fighting
Rooftops first, then street by street

A wall of steel plates and razor wire runs across several city blocks. It is the first sign of the fortified area inside the central business district.

Expect heavy resistance in the war-torn streets between the NuriGO Mall area and The Grid. Many roads are sealed with barricades. Watchtowers and roving North Korean soldiers can raise the threat fast.

The Grid begins at the Donpyeong Gate, an old fortification close to the Hanex Bank tower and City Hall. It also covers the DBN TV tower, which is the tallest building in Hajin, and the Nenshin Tech Complex. Farther on, it crosses a partly razed raised road and the train tracks, toward the Minsok Art School and an attached building that is still under construction.

Troops are thick in the sector that faces Wolves Stadium to the south. The area includes a historic courtyard with a pagoda, a big arterial road and a statue named Year of the Fire Horse. Hotel Lucera is here too, and so are other large buildings. A construction zone spans several city blocks on the east side.

It is hard to move through this dense area, and there are few ways out at street level. Prepare for fights on the skyscraper rooftops first, then up-close fighting down in the streets.

Songdo Wharf

Card for Songdo Wharf: a beach with a landing craft and a bridge, a small map and three harbor shots
Low
Threat
Songdo Wharf, Oamsik Turtle Island and Shoreline Station Low
Where
East Hajin City, former South Korea
Transport
Train and monorail both still run
What's there
La Grande Vie tower, tent market, pier and lighthouse, train station, park

The north end lies next to the Nuclear Power Station. The south end reaches the Hajin River's south fork. The expressway forms the west edge.

Songdo Wharf was once mostly quiet. Train and monorail lines served all of Hajin from here, and both are still running.

A landing from the sea at the south end shows that the fighting is recent.

In the north are homes and a luxury apartment tower, La Grande Vie. It is the tallest building nearby. Facing the East Sea, you find a plain market of tents, and a bridge out to a pier with a lighthouse. There is also a train station and a park with small pagodas. A rock outcrop on the shore holds Oamsik Turtle Island.

Wolves Stadium

Card for Wolves Stadium: a view of a ruined ballpark scoreboard, a small map and three close-up shots
Medium
Threat
Wolves Stadium and Theatre Medium
Where
South-central Hajin City, former South Korea
Most dangerous
Probably the northern edge, facing The Grid
What's there
Ruined stadium, open-air Theatre, Police Station, a bank, courtyards, small malls

In the northeast corner you find Baseball Stadium B Station and a luxury apartment block that is half destroyed. Its upper floors have collapsed. Follow the raised monorail southwest to reach the Ginyeom-il Bridge, a ruined park and a train station nearby.

The streets around the stadium mix homes and shops. There is a Police Station, a bank building, open courtyards and narrow lanes between small malls and apartments. Rubble from the recent invasion lies everywhere.

The local baseball team used to play here. The grounds are now in ruins. The northern edge, by The Grid, is probably the most dangerous part.

Back to Hajin locations

Hajin River Heights

Card for Hajin River Heights: a view of a green bridge and apartment blocks, a small map and three close-up shots
Medium
Threat
River Heights, South Island and Jinseo Park Towers Medium
Where
Southeast Hajin, former South Korea
What's there
Apartments, narrow shop streets, Compound Echo, Jinseo Park Towers
Edge
Marked by a long green metal bridge

Hajin River Heights is south of Wolves Stadium. It is mostly apartment blocks and narrow streets with stores on both sides. This area was hit hardest by the recent attacks. The ground rises toward the south, near the river's South Fork. A long green metal bridge there marks where the district ends.

Further northeast, staying close to the river, are more apartments. One of these buildings has been turned into a military base called Compound Echo.

Jinseo Park Towers are to the south. They are concrete apartment buildings next to a ceremonial park. Farther out, the land climbs into the wooded South Korean Wilderness. A lone comms tower stands on top of South Island.
