| Trees | Warfighter, Scout and Survivalist. |
| Size | 66 Traits in all, 22 per tree. Each tree has six Major Traits, which are always visible, and 16 Minor Traits, which appear at random. |
| Minor Traits | A Minor group only shows once you have unlocked the previous Major Trait, the one below that group. |
| First point | Goes on that tree's random Minor Trait. |
| Branches | You take one Trait per branch. Major branches hold two Traits and Minor branches hold three. Taking one opens the next branch. |
| Per tree | At most 9 Traits, one per branch. |
| Per Operator | At most 18 Trait Points. Max out two trees, or spread the points over all three. |
| Permanent | A pick can't be swapped. Prestige resets your Traits. |
| Rescue cost | The more Traits an Operator has, the more it costs to recover from MIA. |

| Needs | All 18 Trait Points on the Operator, and the Operator can't be MIA. The points don't have to be spent. |
| Cost | The gear and cash in the table above are used up. Anything else left in the Loadout and Backpack is lost too. |
| Reset | The Operator's Traits are removed, and it starts earning Trait Points again. |
| Reward | A random Permanent Prestige Trait for that Operator only. It stays if you dismiss the Operator, move it to another slot or change its skin. |
| Limit | Up to three Permanent Prestige Traits. |
| Prestige 4 and later | You are offered one more Permanent Trait, different from your three. Swap it for one of them, or keep your three. The 3rd requirements apply every time. |
| Other rewards | Prestiging several Operators also earns Calling Cards and classified rewards. |
